Pau Moltó

Biography

He completed the Official Master’s Degree in Artistic Education, Musical Performance and Applied Research in the speciality of Contemporary and Modern Music at the Salvador Seguí Conservatory of Music in Castellón, and graduated from the Taller de Músics School in Barcelona in the speciality of Jazz and Modern Music.

He collaborated with some of the best orchestras of the national scene such as the Orquesta Municipal de Valencia, Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofía, Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, Orquesta Pablo Sarasate de Pamplona and Orquesta Sinfónica de Extremadura while giving horn classes at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia and currently at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Óscar Esplá in Alicante. Since 2016 he has been a jazz teacher in the Horn Classroom of the Spanish Brass Llur Metalls Academy.

In the last decade, he has been studying the possibilities of the horn in jazz and sharing the stage with great performers such as Wayne Shorter, John Patitucci, Brian Blade, Danilo Pérez, Jay Anderson, Steve Wilson, Lewis Nash, Gil Goldstein, Perico Sambeat, David Pastor and Albert Sanz among others. He is part of different projects such as the Breaking Brass, the Russafa Ensemble led by Albert Sanz and is currently leading his own project called French Horn Jazz Project. He also collaborates in several projects making recordings and organising concerts in the main jazz clubs of Spain and since 2017, he has been part of the Umbria Jazz Orchestra, the resident orchestra of the International Festival of Umbria Jazz (Peruggia, Italy).
