Ramon Civit

Next to being a professor of piano, musical language, harmony, counterpoint and composition, he is also a graduate of the Barcelona Municipal Superior Conservatory of Music. He obtained the DEA from the University of Barcelona in the speciality of American musical influences in the city of Barcelona.

Biography

He won several prizes: Frederic Mompou Prize for the best performance of the work of Frederic Mompou (Berga, 1988), winner of the 7th Adagio Model Composition Prize (1996) and finalist in the Taradell Sardana Competition with the subsequent recording of the same sardana performed by the Cobla Sant Jordi (1996).

He published his work of compositions for piano Introspeccions within the record collection of El Taller de Músics. He collaborated for the soundtrack of the films Laura is alone and La memoria de los peces. He collaborated in the recording of the CD Nanas contemporáneas (2014), alongside artists such as Marlango, Toti Soler, Marc Parrot, Pascal Comelade, Lole y Manuel and Robert Wyatt etc.

Nowadays, he combines teaching music at the Taller de Músics with composition, promotion, musical research and the publication of writings.
