{"id":26963,"date":"2023-01-18T10:15:50","date_gmt":"2023-01-18T09:15:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tallerdemusics.com\/?p=26963"},"modified":"2023-03-20T09:39:29","modified_gmt":"2023-03-20T08:39:29","slug":"jazz-i-am-celebrates-its-fifth-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tallerdemusics.com\/en\/jazz-i-am-celebrates-its-fifth-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"JAZZ I AM celebrates its fifth edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The fifth edition of the <a href=\"https:\/\/jazziam.barcelona\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JAZZ I AM Barcelona International Jazz Meeting<\/a>, organised by the <strong>Taller de M\u00fasics<\/strong>, will be held on <strong>16 and 17 March 2023. <\/strong>Participants will be able to attend three round tables on topics such as <strong>artificial intelligence applied to jazz<\/strong>, the <strong>creative process <\/strong>in international co-productions and the <strong>Artist&#8217;s Statute<\/strong>, the latter organised by the <strong>Association of Jazz and Modern Music Musicians (AMJM)<\/strong>. There will also be a conference on <strong>artists&#8217; rights in the digital environment<\/strong>. New this year is an in-depth <strong>interview <\/strong>space called &#8220;A Conversation with&#8230;&#8221; where Jeff Levenson will talk to <strong>Jordi Pujol from Fresh Sound Records <\/strong>and <strong>Francesco Martinelli from the University of Jazz in Siena<\/strong>. In addition, there will be a commented listening session entitled <strong>The New Sound of Jazz<\/strong>, which will analyse the new jazz sonorities arising from its fusion with other genres. All these activities will take place in different rooms of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocana.cat\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Oca\u00f1a<\/a> in Barcelona&#8217;s Plaza Real.<\/p>\n<p>JAZZ I AM will host <strong>live performances <\/strong>by fourteen groups in showcase format at the <a href=\"https:\/\/jamboreejazz.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jamboree<\/a>. Twelve of these groups have been chosen through a call for artists by a jury made up of national and international professionals from the sector. The other groups are part of <strong>Focus The Netherlands<\/strong>, which looks at the jazz scene in the Netherlands: <strong>Raquel Kurpershoek, Sanem Kalfa &amp; Teis Semei <\/strong>and <strong>Guy Salamon Group<\/strong>. The rest of the artists to be seen are: <strong>Alba Gil Aceytuno<\/strong>, <strong>Antonio Lizana<\/strong>, <strong>Hip Horns Brass Collective<\/strong>, <strong>Javier Navas Quintet<\/strong>, <strong>JF Trio<\/strong>, <strong>Lib\u00e9rica<\/strong>, <strong>Los Aurora<\/strong>, <strong>Mart\u00edn Mel\u00e9ndez Power Trio<\/strong>, <strong>Momi Maiga<\/strong>, <strong>Reptilian Mambo <\/strong>and <strong>Sumrr\u00e1<\/strong>.
