The Taller de Músics, a point of reference for the teaching of popular music, has decided to implement an online education system with the goal of reaching beyond its classrooms to offer musical training that is 100% accessible, by investing in the development of learning systems that are flexible, interactive and collaborative.
Online learning has become one of the best educational options since information technologies began to explode with new and dizzying possibilities. These technologies have eliminated barriers such as physical distance and limited time availability, made education more flexible and permitted the optimization of the resources involved in the education process.
The Taller de Músics' online courses are designed to be studied as distance courses. From the virtual campus, the student will have access to the materials (written material, videoconferences, videos, audio, and other resources...) as well as to the tutorials and communication tools (forums, chats, e-mail...) necessary for completion of the courses.
A tutor will accompany the student throughout the education process, and will carry out personalised follow-ups, offering support and help to resolve students' questions.
The methods of continuous assessment are consistent with the teaching methods and serve as a guide to the teacher and student in order to evaluate the progress towards achievement of the established goals. Through tests, participation in forums and videoconferences, tutorials and other tools, the tutor will have sufficient means to evaluate the student's learning without the need for presencial tests.
