Rafael Puerta

Rafael Puerta has more than 15 years’ experience in the music industry. He is the co-founder of the label Hanky Panky Records and has worked with artists such as Shakira, Porta, Manel, Els Amics de les Arts, Txarango and Raimundo Amador, María de Medeiros, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Las Migas, Elena Gadel, Los Mambo Jambo, Dani Nello, Maruja Limón and Amaia, among many others. Throughout his professional career he has also worked in music production, festival organization, publishing, and booking.

 

Biography

Rafael Puerta holds a degree in Business Studies from the University of Glamorgan/South Wales in the UK, a postgraduate degree in Music Industry Business Management from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Master’s in Audiovisual Production from the Universidad de Alcalá. As well as his 15 years in the music industry, developing his professional career in all areas of the sector, he also combines work with teaching.

He is co-founder of the label Hanky Panky Records and has had, in his different positions, the opportunity to work on projects with artists such as Shakira, Porta, Manel, Els Amics de les Arts, Txarango, Raimundo Amador, María de Medeiros, Silvia Pérez Cruz, Las Migas, Elena Gadel, Los Mambo Jambo, Dani Nello, Maruja Limón and Amaia, among many others.

Throughout his professional career he has also worked as a music producer on programmes for the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals such as Jazz a l’estudi, Blues a l’estudi and Ritmes a l’estudi. He has also organized the 7 Mares music festival in Lima, Peru, programming artists such as Manu Chao, Café Tacuba, Bomba Estéreo, Steel Pulse and Totó La Momposina, and has worked as Studio Manager at l’Estudi de L’Apolo, in publishing at La Cupula Music, and booking at Nota79.
