Yaiza Vila began her musical training as a self-taught artist, which led her to explore a variety of instruments, including the French horn.
She later studied at the Sedajazz school in Valencia, where she immersed herself in the world of jazz; this experience inspired her to move to Barcelona to further her studies in the genre.
She is currently in her third year of Jazz Vocals at the Taller de Músics College of Music.
Yaiza has performed at numerous events, including the 33rd Castelló Jazz Festival, the Talents Jazz festival at La Pedrera (Barcelona), Nits de Jazz i Tinturé in Esplugues de Llobregat, the Arrels Festival (Castelló), Vist Festival (Vila-real), Arenal Sound, and the Vila-real Talent festival, where she performed her original song “Historias de un náufrago” accompanied by a symphony orchestra.
Notably, she was a contestant on the TV show “La Voz” (The Voice) on Antena 3.
She has also been awarded Best Song at the Monocicle Singer-Songwriter Competition and took first prize at the Singer-Songwriter Contest organized by the renowned Barcelona venue New Fizz.
