Andrea Motis: 200 bicycles to change lives
Andrea Motis Quintet will star in the benefit concert of the year in collaboration with Fundació Vicent Ferrer.
The concert will take place on Thursday 16th April at 21:00 in Sala Luz de Gas. 100% of the profits will be donated to a great project: facilitating access to secondary education for 200 boys and girls in rural India by providing 200 bicycles, which will allow then to travel faster and more safely. It will enable them to avoid the long journey to school on foot, on which girls can be assaulted or intimidated.
Andrea Motis will be accompanied by Joan Chamorro on double bass, Ignasi Terraza on piano, Josep Traver on guitars and Esteve Pi on drums. Together they will perform songs from their album Emotional Dance (Impulse!, 2017), some of the group’s most representative standards, and a dab of their new record Do outro lado do Azul (Universal Music, 2019).
