Giulia Valle presents ‘Carlos Cano en clau de jazz’
20 years on from his death Taller de Músics, in collaboration with the cultural project BarnaSants and Carlos Cano Producciones SL, are paying homage to the Granadan singer-songwriter Carlos Cano.
Carlos Cano is key to understanding the songwriting of the last few decades. Fiercely committed to social movements, radical and an activist, his message still resonates today.
His legacy is celebrated in this project, called Carlos Cano en clau de jazz directed by Giulia Valle, a composer, arranger and double bassist who has become one of the most international voices on the Barcelona jazz scene.
The show revisits some of the songs of the music of Granada but from the intense and seductive sound universe characteristic of Giulia Valle. She is accompanied by Rusó Sala on vocals and guitar, Nestor Gimenez on piano, Edu Pons on saxophones, Sandrine Robilliard on cello and Dani Domínguez on drums.
Save the date: Friday 6th March at the Teatro Joventut in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat.
