Sylwester Ostrowski is a Polish saxophonist, producer and artistic director. At Taller de Músics, he will share his knowledge and experience to show how we can learn by doing too, through the masterclass “Music Career Development”.
He is a versatile musician. With music described as ‘Bop for the streets’ by the renowned jazz writer George W Harris (JazzWeekly), his music is deeply rooted in the American tradition but flirts with contemporary influence whenever it gets the chance. With his latest album, Jammin’ with KC (Agora, 2020), he brought the best talents on the Polish scene with him to Kansas City. They toured, played and recorded together, which is exemplary for the way Ostrowski teaches: trial and error, learning by doing. Through this approach, Ostrowski wants to honor not just the musical tradition, but also the habit of education on the bandstand, that made jazz legends so great.
