The show 12 Flores by guitarist David Leiva offers audiences a unique artistic experience through and innovative interweaving of music and literature. This show, linked to Leiva’s novel of the same name, combines flamenco, jazz, copla and electronica, leading the listener on a sonic journey that gradually reveals the mystery of the 12 crystal flowers.

The number 12 acts as a common thread, present in both the music and the narrations. On stage, along with David Leiva’s guitar, talented artists further enrich the experience. Carlos Cuenca brings a contemporary dimension with electronics, keyboard and percussion. Elisabeth Gex, Eli de la Bonita, adds emotional depth and texture with her viola. Jorge Mesa, Pirata, contributes his flamenco voice and acting skills. Vanesa Gálvez’s dancing brings life and dynamism to the show with her expressive movement.

David Leiva is a guitarist, composer, author, transcriber and educator. He is currently the artistic director of the Ciutat Flamenco festival, organised by the Taller de Músics.
He is also the official transcriber of the work of the brilliant maestro Paco de Lucía. As a composer and arranger, Leiva has produced shows such as Rojo sobre negro (2005), Combo flamenco (2010), Fuente Victoria (2012), Morente & Roach in memoriam (2020), Suite de Lucía (2021), Suite de la Isla (2022), 12 Flores (2024) and Suite Flamenca (2024), and has shared the stage with prestigious artists such as Joan Albert Amargós, Jorge Pardo, Carles Benavent, Queralt Lahoz, Carlos Cuenca, Antonio Serrano, Rafael de Utrera, Chano Domínguez, Farru and Niño Josele, among others.
