Transit (EMME Record Label, 2022) is the JF Trio second álbum. It’s a journey through various European cities that have marked the lives and careers of the bandmembers. The trio recorded this album at Tube Recording Studio (Italy) as a prize for the best emerging band at the Fara Music Live festival.
JF Trio is the pianist Jofre Fité’s most personal musical venture. It is a group that straddles jazz, electronic music and pop, explorin improvisation and interaction between the musicians. JF Trio is formed by Jofre Fité on piano and keyboard, Carla Gonzàlez on double bass and synthesizer and Pau Gurpegui on drums and pad. The project explores various themes through composition and improvisation and fuses acoustic and electronic, traditional and modern sounds. It incorporates instrumentation less commonly seen in the context of jazz, thus multiplying the sonic possibilities and creating absorbing atmospheres with some more
spacious moments and other more energetic passages. Their sincerity and honesty translate into an authentic and personal sound: the sound of JF Trio.
