Cora Novoa & The Artifacts is a new project led by the DJ and producer Cora Novoa alongside young talents from Taller de Músics. The repertoire is based on electronic and urban styles, ranging from trap and afrobeat to reggaeton and classics such as flamenco and popular music.
The project has been developed around concepts such as present and current dystopia, technoethics, artificial intelligence, surveillance capitalism and dehumanization. It is, in short, a social critique of the present and future and the moral dilemmas entailed in all of this. The group describes it as “an ode to our collective future/present”.
The music is accompanied by the work of video artist Diego López Bueno, creator of the Tirador project, through which he reflects on the concept of authorship through the appropriation of images that dialogue with technology and analyses the languages born on the internet.
This project is the result of a collaboration between Taller de Músics, Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and Sónar.
