Adela Vilà

Born in Barcelona. She studied piano, solfege, harmony and classical singing with Francisco Kraus at the Conservatori de Música del Liceu. Later, she continued her education at the Conservatori Municipal de Barcelona Ma. Àngels Miró. She also studied modern singing with Joaquim Proubasta and in Taller de Músics with Xavier Garriga and Erroll Wolsky, and choral conducting, vocal technique and children’s pedagogy at the Conservatori de Girona Isaac Albéniz.

Biography

She participated in courses and seminars on articulation and breathing with Isabel Penagos, conscious breathing with Miquel Masgrau and applied phoniatrics with Elisabet Herrera. She attended theatre classes at the Theatre School with Berty Tobias and dance classes with Álvaro de la Peña.

As a teacher, she has taught vocal technique and singing classes for adults and children at the music schools of Cardedeu, Sant Esteve de Palautordera, Sant Antoni de Vilamajor, Breda and Sant Celoni. She has also conducted choirs of different types.

Currently, she is a vocal coach and advisor to theatre companies and professionals of the scene: Circ Cric, the actress Marta Marco, the theatre company El Rebrot and Compañía Pakipaia.

She has been a member of dance orchestras as a classical concert singer, light music and zarzuela. She has worked with Alfred Domênec, Janio Marti, Luc Barreto, Eliseo del Toro, Lilian de Celis, among others, and has participated in duets and big bands at the Hilton and Arts hotels with an international repertoire. In addition, she has collaborated in records and shows of Mönica Green and has recorded jingles and masks for TV3.

As a soloist, she has performed with Lucky Guri, Jordi Bonell, the Municipal Band and the Big Band of Mataró, and as an actress-singer, she has been part of the musical Germans de Sang (1994-1995). Currently, she performs in a duet with guitarist Xavi Fort and participates in different projects with Daniel Bayona.
