Aránzazu Osés

Zazu is a jazz singer whose passion for this musical style has led her to move within the musical panorama of Barcelona, where she resides developing her facet as a singer, pianist, arranger and composer.

Biography

She has studied vocal jazz at the ESMUC (Barcelona Jazz Master), at the Prince Claus Conservatorium in Groningen (Holland), within the program New York comes to Groningen, and at Purchase University in New York. She also has a degree in classical piano from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Badajoz, where she has also studied classical singing. During her studies at ESMUC she studied with Francesc Capella in the project S(w)inging Love and has studied with Professor Mireia Lara and other musicians to the Catalan jazz scene such as Joan Monné, Lluís Vidal or Lluís Vergés, among others.

She has recently presented her album S(W)inging Love on various stages in Catalonia and combines her facet as a singer with that of a teacher in various music schools in the province.

She is a member of the vocal group Olgreen and director of several vocal groups of modern music in Barcelona. Her original song “Singing About Love”, included in her CD S(w)inging Love, won the Audience Award of Spain and Portugal in the Shure Vocal Mastery 2016 contest.
