Cristina Canet

Born in Barcelona, she studied at the Taller de Músics de Barcelona in the subjects of Musical Language, Harmony, Arrangements, Piano and Instrumental Ensemble with Zé Eduardo, Elena Claramunt, Riqui Sabatés and Joan Monné.

Biography

She studied at the Municipal Superior Conservatory of Music of Barcelona in subjects such as Solfeggio, Harmony, Choral Singing, Acoustics and Piano. She also studied piano at the Àngel Soler Piano Studio and at the Luthier Academy of Barcelona.

She studied harmony, arrangements and instrumentation with Lluís Vergés. In November 1995, she received the Diploma of Level of Specialist in Modern Music from the Institut Català de Noves Professions (INCANOP). She has participated in various musical productions as a composer and has dedicated herself intensely to teaching music in various centres and schools, including the Taller de Músics de Barcelona.

She has a degree in Psychology since July 2009 and a Master in Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience (2013). She currently combines her work as a music teacher in the Taller de Músics with the practice of Clinical Psychology and Psychology of the Performing Arts.
