Cristina Canet

Born in Barcelona, she is a specialist in Modern Music, trained at the Taller de Músics and the Catalan Institute of New Professions (INCANOP, 1995). She pursued studies at the Municipal Conservatory of Barcelona, the Luthier School, and the Piano Studio of Àngel Soler. She also studied harmony, arranging, and orchestration with Lluís Vergés.

Biography

She has participated in various musical productions as a composer and has been deeply dedicated to music education in different institutions, especially at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona.

She holds a degree in Psychology from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (2009) and a Master’s degree in Psychobiology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2013). She has completed training in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) with Elena Rosembaum (2009) and training in CFT (Compassion-Focused Therapy) with G. Brito (2024).

She currently combines her work as a teacher at the Taller de Músics, where she teaches Music Theory and Aural Skills, with her practice in Clinical Psychology and Psychology of the Performing Arts and Musical Performance. She is also dedicated to psychoeducation through talks and webinars on the different psychological aspects that, as musicians, impact our practice.
