The drummer David Gómez, a native Valencian, moved to Barcelona at a very young age and entered the local scene playing jazz, blues, rock and Catalan rumba. Throughout his career, he has played on stages all over the world and has worked with leading figures.
David Gómez is a drummer with a long career who has played in numerous national and international festivals and has recorded more than forty albums with different projects and artists.
He is a member of the band Triphasic with Llibert Fortuny and Gary Willis and has also toured extensively with pop/rock artists.
As a sideman, he has played with artists such as Chano Domínguez, Iñaki Salvador, Miguel Poveda, Luis Salinas, Bruce Barth, Bernardo Sassetti, Carlos Barretto, Zé Eduardo, Peter King, Chicuelo, Perico Sambeat, Soji Kojima, Duquende, Joan Vinyals, Niño Josele, Riqui Sabatés, Pat Metheny, Eric Marienthal, Janek Gwizdala, Gary Husband, Bob Reynolds and Lalo Schifrin, among others.
He currently teaches drums and combo in the main music schools in Catalonia and is part of Chicuelo’s Caminos project, with Karen Lugo and Martín Meléndez.
