Born in Barcelona in 1992, Hasari Lafuente began his musical studies at the age of 15, quickly prioritizing the electric guitar while also showing interest in other disciplines such as composition and playing other instruments like piano, drums, and bass. He earned a degree in Primary Education from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2015 and graduated in Jazz and Modern Music Performance from Taller de Músics ESEM in 2024.
After obtaining his first university degree and while preparing for entrance exams to higher music studies, he dedicated himself to teaching guitar and music theory to young people and adults. Simultaneously, he performed as a guitarist, drummer, and percussionist in various ensembles and choirs. To prepare for his entrance exams, he studied harmony at several schools, eventually attending Taller de Músics, where he also studied Instrumental Ensemble and Jazz Techniques. During this time, he received guitar instruction from Anibal Martínez, his mentor during four years of preparation.
In 2019, he was admitted to Taller de Músics ESEM in the Jazz Performance program, studying guitar with Yeray Hernández and Octavio Hernández. He also explored various aspects of composition and pursued secondary studies in double bass under David Mengual and Pau Lligades.
He completed his degree with a final project focused on the relationship between music and painting in the 20th century, exploring theoretical approaches and the creative processes that stem from this connection. His goal was to develop a personal repertoire based on the strategies studied, which he arranged and performed with a quintet at the Jazz Cava in Terrassa.
