Born in Barcelona, Isa Mirallas began her piano studies as a child and graduated from the ESMUC specializing in piano pedagogy in 2012. After years dedicated to piano and classical singing, she began to enter the world of jazz with Ana Finger and later travelled to the Netherlands to study jazz singing.
She studied at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she obtained a degree in jazz singing performance in 2016 and a master’s in jazz singing performance in 2018, with teachers such as Lydia van Dam, Humphrey Campbell, Sylvi Langelaan and David Linx, among others. Parallel to her jazz studies, she continued to develop in classical singing under the guidance of Valerie Guillorit and Don Marazzo.
Among her projects as a singer is the jazz/pop vocal quintet The Junction, which she has been a member of for 4 years as a soprano and arranger. She has performed and toured with this quintet in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain and Taiwan.
She has collaborated as a vocalist in various groups such as The Bop Collective or Lluc Casares Sextet and in venues such as the Jamboree in Barcelona, the Jazz Cava in Terrassa and the Bimhuis in Amsterdam. In recent years she has performed regularly in Holland with guitarist Daniel de Moraes, with whom she plays a repertoire of jazz and Latin and Brazilian music.
Between 2018 and 2020 she taught vocal technique to jazz singers at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and currently teaches piano, singing, musical language, vocal ensemble, and choral singing at different centres in Barcelona.
