Luismi Segurado (Salamanca, 1986) completed his higher studies in jazz piano at Musikene (San Sebastián) in 2014 with teachers such as Francesc Capella, Javier Juanco, Joaquín Chacón and Bob Sans, among others.
He has shared the stage with great national and international musicians such as Jorge Rossy, Masa Kamaguchi, Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy), Chris Kase, Ramón Cardo and Andrzej Olejniczak, and has received masterclasses from outstanding musicians such as Barry Harris, Jerry Bergonzy and Gerard Clayton.
His trio albums as a leader on the renowned label Fresh Sound Records particularly stand out: Tritones y Serendipia (2017), Hocicology. Feat. Jorge Rossy (2019) and Elfrieda feat. Masa Kamaguchi & Santi Colomer (2023). As an accompanist, he has taken part in recording sessions for several artists on the national scene, such as the recent album Venga que sí by Trezz (Errabal Jazz, 2023).
He is currently one of the most active musicians on the Catalan scene, which he combines with his teaching work at Taller de Músics.
