Marçal Perramon Marçal Perramon grew up in Barcelona, where he developed his musical skills playing with the Sant Andreu Jazz Band under the direction of Joan Chamorro. He spent his youth studying with various saxophonists from the Spain’s scene such as Joan Chamorro, Gabriel Amargant, Alfons Carrascossa, and Santi De La Rubia before enrolling at the Superior School of Music of Catalonia (ESMuC) in 2017, where he studied jazz performance with Eladio Reinón and Gorka Benítez
In 2021 he moved to Basel, Switzerland, where he pursued a master’s degree in Performance and Production at JazzCampus (FHNW) with professors Mark Turner, Chris Cheek, Domenic Landolf, Ambrose Akinmusire, and Jorge Rossy.
In addition to participating in over 30 recordings as a sideman, Marçal Perramon co-leads the album “Joan Chamorro presenta Marçal Perramon” (JazzToJazz 2021) and “Somewhere” (Fresh Sound New Talent 2024) alongside Giuseppe Campisi, Camil Arcarazo, and Jorge Rossy.
