Olivia Fernández-Cid

Born in Menorca, Olivia began her musical studies at a very early age at the Sant Lluís School of Music. There, she trained with the flute as her primary instrument, although she did not complete her formal studies in it. During her adolescence, she began to develop her vocal side by participating in gospel choirs such as Moments a Cor and, later, Yonder Choir.

She decided to steer her career toward professional music studies and prepared for the entrance exams at the Taller de Músics School of Music. Subsequently, she enrolled in and graduated with a Degree in Music Pedagogy from the Taller de Músics Higher Education School (Escola Superior), consolidating both her artistic and pedagogical training.

Throughout her four-year degree, she participated in various projects and ensembles within the institution, such as XXL Collective, Combo Latin, Música Z, and the María Canals project.

Currently, she works as a teacher at Espai SoNA, teaching singing, music theory, and piano to students of various ages and levels. Previously, for two academic years, she was part of the Escola de Veus at Taller de Músics, where she taught singing classes for adults.
