Vicent Pérez graduated in the Higher Speciality of Jazz Trombone from the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Higher Conservatory in Valencia, with teachers such as Ramón Cardo, Albert Sanz, Toni Belenguer and Julián Sanchez.
As a student, he participated in various international courses and masterclasses with musicians such as Jerry Bergonzi, Chris Cheek, Greg Hopkins, Mike Mossman, Elliot Mason, Bill McHenry or Mark Nightingale. He currently lives in Barcelona where he joined the teaching staff at the Centro de Estudios Superiores del Taller de Músics (ESEM) as a jazz trombone teacher.
He has shared the stage with musicians like Perico Sambeat, David Pastor, Joan Díaz, Voro García, Vicent Macián, Tom Warburton, Albert Palau, Gabriel Amargant, David Mengual, Guim García, Llibert Fortuny. Member and groups such as Sedajazz Big Band, Original Jazz Orchestra del Taller de Músics, D.O. NewEnsemble, Perico Sambeat Flamenco Big Band, NewCatalan Ensemble, Girona Jazz Project.
He has played at several clubs and jazz festivals, of which for example Jimmy Glass (Valencia), Jamboree (Barcelona), Kiste JazzKlub (Stuttgart), Festival de Jazz de San Javier, Clasijazz (Almería), El Refugio (Alicante), Cotijazz (Murcia). Lately, he has been leading his own projects as a quartet and trio, the latter with the singer Miguel Gil, being a musical proposal in which poetry gets mixed with sounds that range from free jazz to electronic music. He also teaches jazz trombone at the Aula de Jazz.
