Victor Mirón

Víctor Mirón

In 2010 he started his professional studies at L’Aula of the Liceu Conservatory, specializing in modern guitar and jazz. He received lessons from Aníbal Martínez, Pep Mateu, Paco Salas and Santi Careta. He also attended to complementary sax classes with Hugo Astudillo. At the same time, he took individual guitar classes from Enric Peinado.

Biography

Two years later, after finishing the professional degree, he decided to take the sax as a main instrument and git into Taller de Músics ESEM to get the Bachelor of Music and played the guitar as a secondary instrument. 

Recently, he has studied with professors such as Vicent Macian, Raül Reverter, Ramon Cardo, Jordi Matas, Octavio Hernández, Txema Riera, Jordi Bonell and David Mengual.

In relation to his own projects, in 2016 he joined the band Alma de Pato (rumba, funk, blues) with whom played around many national concerts and recorded an album released in 2019. 

He became more involved in jazz in 2014, when Víctor created a duet with the trumpeter Víctor Martínez named Vic’s Band, playing standards arranged by themselves (guitar, sax, voice and trumpet). Since 2017 he has been a member of the Young Effervescence Big Band (YEBB) lead by Toni Vaquer and Fernando Brox.

In 2010 he began teaching, giving guitar, sax, sol-fa and harmony classes in Art Obert and RVST, individual classes and substituting in different schools in Barcelona and others nearby. 

He is currently in his last year on the Bachelor of Music and is teaching in CEM Maria Grever in Parets and in Espai Sènior of Taller de Músics.
