The fourth edition of the international JAZZ I AM meeting is fast approaching. It will be held again in March. Accreditations are now available for the two days of the meeting, which will take place on March 24th and 25th. This year, the venues will be the Santa Mònica and Jamboree Jazz, the latter being where the live performances will be hosted.
Taller de Músics students and teachers have free access to all the activities with a discount code that can be obtained from the secretary’s office at the School of Music or the Higher School of Music Studies (ESEM).
The programme of activities for JAZZ I AM 2022 can be consulted on the website. Participants will be able to attend four panel discussions on different topics: copyright and the digital environment; audience creation in jazz and contemporary music; the role of music in social inclusion; and the role of the manager, the agent and the booker.
The meeting will kick off with a performance by Alba Morena at the Santa Mónica, followed by twelve concerts in showcase format at Jamboree Jazz.
The meeting will also host a session of MeeThePro and the private event We Insist! Social Inclusion through Creative Music, the social seminar held by the Europe Jazz Network (EJN) association, which this year has chosen JAZZ I AM as the setting for this annual event.
New this year, JAZZ I AM will be collaborating with the Surt foundation, a social action organisation that works to realise women’s economic, social and cultural rights.
