Ciutat Flamenco extends its echo beyond the October festival with one last special event: Suite Flamenca, taking place on Sunday, November 9 at 6:00 pm at L’Auditori.
This concert is part of the OFF Ciutat Flamenco, the section that continues the spirit of the festival and embraces proposals that bridge flamenco tradition and new soundscapes.
On this occasion, the Banda Municipal de Barcelona joins forces with flamenco singer Rafael de Utrera and the Ensemble Flamenco Taller de Músics to present a programme that blends roots and innovation.
The performance will feature works such as Sinfonietta flamenca by Carlos Suriñach, Concerto for Two Alto Saxophones “FlamenK” by Ernesto Aurignac, along with emblematic pieces like Zyryab by Paco de Lucía, La primavera by Camarón de la Isla, and Coplas de la amistad, from Réquiem a Enrique Morente. In memoriam, composed by Joan Díaz in 2017, seven years after the master’s passing.
It will be a unique opportunity to experience the strength of flamenco in dialogue with the symphonic orchestra, in a concert that brings a brilliant close to Ciutat Flamenco 2025.
