Cris Lópezz Quartet takes flamenco as a living root to engage in dialogue with other languages such as electronic music, jazz, and Mediterranean sounds. The project builds an intimate and evocative sonic universe, where traditional forms open up to new textures and spaces for experimentation.
Live, the quartet offers an immersive and deeply sensory experience: a staged ritual where delicacy and intensity, tradition and avant-garde coexist. A musical proposal that invites both attentive listening and emotional journeying, grounded in an honest and contemporary perspective.
Cris Lópezz is a singer, composer, and producer with a solid background in flamenco singing and a career shaped by sonic exploration and openness to new musical languages. She graduated in Flamenco Singing from ESMUC and has trained in sound, music production, and new technologies, moving naturally between flamenco tradition and contemporary creation.
She has collaborated with artists such as Silvia Pérez Cruz, Albert Pla, Las Migas, El Niño de Elche, and Chano Domínguez, and co-directs projects such as LaboratoriA and La Prenda Roja, where she explores flamenco from an experimental and electronic perspective. In recent years, she has developed an intense activity in the performing and interdisciplinary arts, composing and directing music for theatre, dance, and visual arts.
She is currently a professor in the Higher Degree in Flamenco at Taller de Músics ESEM, where she combines teaching with her creative work, vocal research, and the development of new artistic projects. Based in Barcelona, she continues to expand the boundaries of flamenco, connecting it with the present and with new forms of listening.
