Ivette Nadal is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Catalan singer-songwriter music.
A singer-songwriter and poet, she has built a career defined by the power of words, the pursuit of artistic truth, and the ability to transform fragility, emotion, and lived experience into creative expression.
Her career began on small stages across Catalonia, where she brought together music and poetry as a single artistic language. Over the years, this unique approach has earned her a prominent place in theatres, concert halls, festivals, and literary events, establishing her own space at the intersection of songwriting, poetry, and philosophical reflection.
Her discography traces a coherent and deeply personal artistic journey, from her debut album Guerres dolcíssimes to works such as A l’esquena d’un elefant, Mestres i amics, Tornar a mare, Arquitectura primera, En nom de la ferida—produced by Pascal Comelade—and Les hores blaves. Each release explores an increasingly essential creative universe, where music and language engage in a natural and unforced dialogue.
Alongside her musical career, Ivette Nadal has developed a significant body of literary work with books including Camí privat, Arbres, mars, desconcerts, L’àngel i la infermesa del pensament, Camí del text, and Justícia poètica, an autobiographical work that broadens her artistic and personal perspective.
On 17 September 2026, she will release I això serà tot…, her new album, produced by Joan Pons Vilaró and Joan Colomo and recorded at Teatre de Ca l’Eril. The album marks a new chapter in her artistic evolution, shaped by an organic, intimate, and delicate production in which arrangements and musical textures take on a more prominent role while preserving the centrality of the written word. Rooted in the present moment and in the significance of everyday gestures, the album embraces a more narrative approach and expands the sonic landscape of Ivette Nadal’s creative universe.
As a preview of the album, Ivette Nadal has already released the singles “Mai les ales”, “Pedres, ocells i flors”, and “Som”, three songs that offer a glimpse into the emotional world of the project. The album features collaborations with David Carabén, Triquell, and Santi Balmes, as well as the creative and recording contributions of Joan Pons Vilaró, Joan Colomo, Jordi Matas, Mau Boada, Marcel Torres, and Ivette Nadal herself.
