Anaïs Vila

Anaïs Vila is a singer-songwriter and singer with extensive training in both classical and modern singing. She has released several albums as a soloist and has recorded others as a collaborator, as well as sharing the stage with renowned national artists and performing at different venues and festivals.

Biography

Anaïs Vila obtained a Certificate in Pop Music & Music Technology specialising in songwriting at LIPA (Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts). She has a Master’s in Theatre Studies (UAB, UPF and IT) and has trained in vocal technique and re-training with Elisabeth Castro (Gershwin Vocal Studio), jazz performance with Rubén Fernández (Taller de Músics), free voice with Mariona Castillo and voice control with Bea Vergés and Mariona Castillo.

During her career, she has published three works: Entre els dits (Temps Record, 2015), Fosc, cançons per veure-hi clar (Temps Record, 2017) and Contradiccions (Temps Record, 2020). She has performed at various renowned festivals, such as the Barcelona Guitar Festival, the Festival Strenes de Girona, les Vesprades de Fonollosa, the Barnasants Festival and the Altacústic. She has also collaborated and shared the stage with artists such as Clara Peya, Mazoni, Enric Verdaguer, Manu Guix and Jazmín Boada, among others.

In parallel to her project as a singer-songwriter, Vila has been part of the Wom’s Collective, a musical project led by Clara Luna and Laia Fortià. She has also participated in the productions Existència Paral-lela and Homenatge a Llach, together with the pianist Mateu Peramiquel, and has lent her voice to Hesse, an electronic music project by Pep Soler, with whom she has released two albums.

Since early 2022, she has been on Joan Dausà’s tour as a guitarist, keyboardist and backing vocalist. She combines the stage with teaching at the Escola de Música de Gràcia in Barcelona, at the Aula de Música Moderna de Terrassa and at the Taller de Músics.
