Vocal Ensembles Coordinator
Anna Jané Dern was born on March 11 in Terrassa into a family of musicians. Since she was a child, she has been in contact with the world of show business through music, dance and theatre. At the age of 5 she began to experiment with the clarinet. She entered the Conservatory of Terrassa where she did her intermediate studies and where she started to study jazz.
She had the pleasure of working with renowned teachers such as Guim G. Balasch, Xavi Figuerola, Rosa Caparrós, Queralt Roca and Xavier Casademunt.
Later on, she started singing and took classes with great artists: Mayte Alguacil, Susana Sheiman, Carola Ortiz, and then she entered the Taller de Músics to study with great teachers and musicians like Rubén Fernández, Santi de la Rubia, Pau Solsona, Néstor Giménez, Eloi Escudé, among others.
She began her higher studies at the Taller with teachers such as Joan Monné, Martín Leiton, Jordi Farrés, Núria Cols and Ramon Cardo. On top of the stages, Anna has had the pleasure of playing in different projects and with different musicians such as Mathew Simon, Federico Mazzanti, Pep Coca, Xavi Hinojosa, Xavi Castillo, among others.
Currently, she is dedicated to singing her own creations and other songs that have meant a lot in her artistic and personal path through different projects that she is leading.
Together with Clara Sorolla, they are carrying out their project called Itzipa. During August 2019 they record their first CD where they want to offer a little trip through their voices and their own songs. Besides, Anna is currently starting what will be her personal project alongside great and young musicians like Jofre Fité, Alan Pribizchuk, Joan Vallbona, Roger Calduch, among others.
As a teacher, Anna Jané teaches singing at the Taller de Músics Escola de Música, and also works at the Pausa music school in Barcelona. Previously, she had worked at the Petit Músic de Sant Cugat school.
