Joel López Godina, born in Blanes, is a pianist, composer and teacher. He began studying music at a very early age at the Blanes music school, and then took piano lessons with Josep Maria Piguillem. At the age of 16 he started playing jazz with Isabel Membrillo, and from then on, he decided to devote himself to music.
After finishing his scientific baccalaureate, he began studying at the Taller de Músics School and is currently in his second year of a degree in jazz piano and modern music performance at the Taller de Músics ESEM.
Joel has been taught by musicians such as Néstor Giménez, Santi de la Rubia, Martin Leiton, Pau Solsona, Jaume Gispert, Cristina Canet and Alejandro Di Costanzo, among others.
He has also attended masterclasses given by Albert Bover, Lluís Vidal, Guy Mintus, Petros Klampanis, Antonio Lizana, Salvador Sobral and Leo Aldrey.
As a performer, apart from giving concerts as a pianist and singer, he is currently accompanying the Sa Esperança choir and is a member of the Mireia Vidal Quintet, with whom he has played in venues such as Jazz Sí and Nova Jazz Cava in Terrassa.
