Biography

He combined his university studies in History (UAB) with his musical training with Jaume Gispert and, later, in 2016 he started his certificate of higher education in Music at the Taller de Músics Escuela Superior de Estudios Musicales (ESEM). During this period, he received classes from Jaume Gispert, Santi de la Rubia, Toni Vaquer, Jordi Farrés, Néstor Giménez and David Mengual, among others.  He also attended masterclasses given by musicians such as Bruce Barth, Elliott Zigmund, Lluís Vidal, Perico Sambeat, Jerry Bergonzi and the Leo Genovese Trio, to mention just a few. In addition, he has furthered his studies in the field of classical piano with Ramon Civit and Lali Solà, and is self-taught in the world of keyboards, synthesizers and electronica.

As a performer he has played with very diverse groups, ranging from reggae and funk, to swing, rock/electronic versions, big bands and contemporary music. Currently, he leads his own project, JF Trio, with whom he is preparing an album. He also participates as a sideman in the Denís Suárez Trio and is in the band of the electronic artist Red Pèrill.

Fité has performed in several venues and festivals in Catalonia and Spain, as well as in festivals in France and Italy. He has been a semi-finalist at the Juventudes Musicales de España award with the singer Mar Fayos and winner of the Fara Music Jazz Live 2021 with JF Trio. He has also collaborated, recorded, or played with musicians such as Giulia Valle, Martí Serra, Pau Lligadas, Glòria Maurel, Melisa Bertossi, Marcel-lí Bayer, Anna Jané, Fernando Brox, Alba Careta and Gabriel Amargant, among others.

In the educational field, he currently teaches piano, harmony, musical language, and auditory perception at the Taller de Músics School of Music.
