Núria González Cols is a singer and educator with over 30 years of professional experience.
She began her studies in classical singing at the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Manresa and the Municipal Conservatory of Music of Terrassa.
She later studied Modern Singing and Performance at Eòlia, Escola Superior d’Art Dramàtic de Barcelona, while combining her studies with Harmony and Improvisation Techniques.
She holds a Diploma in Music Education Teaching from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
She graduated with a Higher Degree in Music specializing in Jazz and Modern Music from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).
Certified in Estill Voice Training (a vocal training method for singers, actors, and communication professionals focused on the anatomical and mechanical control of the voice).
Certified in NeuroVoz (a method for training the voice through the nervous system).
In the pedagogical field, she currently works as a voice and vocal improvisation teacher at the Higher School of Music Studies (ESEM) of Taller de Músics. She is also a choir director, vocal ensemble director, and singing teacher at the EMM Miquel Blanch in Castellbisbal.
She has developed her teaching work at the Espai d’Arts Escèniques of the Teatre Kursaal in Manresa as a voice teacher for stage and musical theater actors, as well as at the Bellaterra Conservatory of Music. Likewise, she has led workshops on vocal technique, performance, body movement, and composition for solo singers, as well as children’s and youth choirs.
In the field of performance, she has developed as a versatile singer who has led and been part of various musical groups and theater companies.
Creator of several personal projects such as Homenatge a Edith Piaf, Músiques d’arreu del món, Boulevard de la Chanson, Retrats d’unes cançons, and La vie en chanson, among others, she has performed in numerous venues, theaters, and auditoriums across the country.
She has also completed various collaborations as a solo singer and recordings for other artists’ groups and projects, such as La noche le es propicia. Records de José Agustín Goytisolo, presenting it on different stages in Europe and Asia.
Alongside the poet Joan Margarit, she performed in several shows presented throughout the Iberian Peninsula, including No era lluny, ni difícil, of which they recorded an album. She has also participated as a solo singer in concerts and on the albums Araguaia and Espirituals by composer Carles Cases.
On Raul Reverter’s album Trops in jazz or the soundtrack for the film No somos nadie, directed by Jordi Mollà. She recorded her project Boleros, a duo with guitarist Jordi Farrés, which premiered at the Terrassa and Granollers jazz festivals, as well as at the IV Festival del Bolero de Barcelona, and with which she has performed in many venues across the country.
