Pablo Schvarzman

Argentine by birth and Catalan by adoption, Pablo Schvarzman has 20 years of experience as a guitar and combos teacher, and 5 as a music technology teacher. Currently, Schvarzman is part of the group Seward, with which he has released his latest LP Second Two: Chapter Home (Naim Records). Throughout his career, the band has participated in several festivals, including several editions of Primavera Sound, Cruïlla and BAM in Spain, Sziget in Hungary, South by Southwest in the United States, The Great Escape in England, Vive Latino in Mexico, Eurosonic in the Netherlands, Pohoda in Slovakia, Exit in Serbia and Canadian Music Week in Canada.

Biography

Pablo Schvarzman worked with artists such as Agustí Fernández, Peter Kowald, Butch Morris, David Soler, Gary Willis, Dafnis Prieto, Juliane Heinemann, Jean Marc Montera, Ingar Zach, Dr No, Munir Hossn, Shuarma, Enrique Bunbury y Shuarma, Macaco, Marcelo Mercadante, Fernando Samalea, Chop Suey, Llibert Fortuny, Andreu Zaragoza, Raynald Colom, Miguel Poveda, Liba Villavecchia, Wahner Pa, Victoria Szpunberg or Constanza Brncic, among others. He also performed on stages such as La Regla (Berlin), Karneval der Kulturen (Berlin), Barcelona Jazz Festival, Vic Jazz Festival, La Villette (Paris), Transmusical (Rennes), Barbican Center (London), Royal Festival Hall (London), Girona Jazz Festival, Festicumex (Buenos Aires), SXSW (Austin, Texas), Festival Grec (Barcelona), Doctor Music Festival, FestiMad (Madrid) or FIB (Benicàssim).

As a teacher, he has given classes at L’Aula de Música Moderna y Jazz del Conservatorio del Liceo, in the Ciclo Músiques d’avui with Liba Villavecchia on one occasion and with Roberto Fara on another, at the Fundació Joan Miró, and in the Ciclo Improvisació Electroacústica, with Liba Villavecchia and Agustí Fernández, at the ESMUC. He currently teaches Music Theory, Music Business, Controllers, Group Electronics, iOS Applications and Live Performance at the SAE Institute Barcelona, and he also teaches the optional subject Discover the Language of Electronic Music at the Taller de Músics Escuela Superior de Estudios Musicales.
